Today I’m joining in with the Copy Cat party going on at Debbie Doos. My inspiration came from this picture from Pottery Barn.
The owl was a recent purchase from Goodwill that I spray painted white.
I must admit that I am not satisfied with the silver/mercury pumpkins. I picked the pumpkins up from the Dollar Tree and planned on following a tutorial that I found on making mercury glass. After I returned home, I realized there was absolutely no brown paint to be found and since I don’t live close to a store I couldn’t finish them.
The wooden stand for the orange pumpkin is actually a stand that my husband built about 14 years ago for the apple core/slicer!
The “Welcome Fall” pumpkin was purchased from Hobby Lobby several years ago.
So, this is my copy cat….on a budget! I spent a total of $6 since I was able to use mostly what I had at home. The price will ago up a little because I do plan on buying that brown paint when I go back into town!
Thanks for stopping by!

Great copy cat, Tammy!! Don't you just love PB?!
ReplyDeleteGreat autumn setting! You've really captured the essence of the PB photo. I love your owl, he's perfect!

Well I'd say you did a very fine job on it! I was inspired by them this year too! I wanted those leaf branches but their pricing was outrageous! I love your big jug- how lucky you had that! I like your owl! I wanted their mercury pumpkins but again not at their prices! Funny I have a wooden stand for my apple peeler/corer too! Someone made it for me. They have a newer one now with a suction cup tht holds to the counter. Probably easier to use.
ReplyDeleteGreat sofa table display. Cute little pumpkins, I got some yesterday at Dollar Tree, been painting a few of them myself today.
