Today's tablescape is a beach theme in keeping with the Let's Dish party that starts tonight at Cuisine Kathleen's.
I gathered all my goodies on the breakfast table, trying to decide what to use.
The flowers are blooming and since today is all about the beach, I wanted to set the table on the back patio.
I'm making sure that my pictures don't show the destruction going on behind me. Remember I told you my husband tore out the pond because he wanted a bigger waterfall? Well, he's not finished and there is a countdown to the 4th! We host our bbq in this area and he has to be finished by then!
I started by draping the table with a white table and criss crossing the table with runners I made out of burlap. I used my shell chargers that I made. You can see that post here. I love all the colors of the different sea shells!
From the grays to the reddish orange! I used the robin's egg blue plate topped with clam shaped clear salad plates.
Bamboo handled flatware adds to the beach theme...
along with the shell and bamboo napkin rings.
Turquoise goblets bring in the color of the ocean. The butter warmers are a great accompaniment when serving seafood.
In keeping with the sea shell theme, I used my big lantern from Lowes that I had filled with sand, shells and a candle!
I hope you enjoyed my tablescape! Would you like a little peek at the waterfall?
There it is! A sneak peak though the elephant ears!

My goodness, this is sweeeeeeet! I would love to sit at this table with a waterfall in the backgound soothing everything over with its watery sounds. Enjoy your piece of paradise there and I hope everything gets done in time for the 4th. Sounds like your house will be the place to be.

Hi! I found you at Sherry's Open House link party. I love your tablescape. Aqua is my new favorite color. Robyn
ReplyDeleteLowe's??? Really? Wow...I like it that lantern. I didn't know Lowe's even had stuff like that! I guess I should pay more attention when I'm in there next time! :-) I remember when you blogged about those great shell chargers you created by hand. SO cool!!! That took a lot of time and patience on your part which I applaud! The burlap runners really look great with the other elements you used! Do not kill your husband for his project. He'll get it done in time because he does not want to be in your eternal doghouse!
ReplyDeleteGreat colotful tablesetting that makes me yearn for the beach and a fresh seafood dinner!
ReplyDeleteTammy: Your seaside theme tablescape is gorgeous. I love those chargers. I grew up at the beach and haven't got one seashell! I'm beginning to want some..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteThis is incredible. I love it all but my favorite thing is your flatware. The bamboo just says beach and summer. Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving the sweet comment about my doll wearing her sunglasses. Love your fountain. Wish I had a water feature in my yard.

The whole table is really lovely. The shade of blue is perfect. I think my favorite part is the seashell charger. I'm going to click the link to see how you did that. I've always thought it would be a perfect thing to have for a beach table. I love the napkin rings too.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE a waterfall in the backyard. You're going to have to do a watery themed table to go along with it someday.
Wonderful table. I like all the sea shells and those napkin holders. Very pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteThink this is my first visit her ever, and was very impressed.
Love your beachy table, very very pretty, and inviting. Am in love
with those blue goblets as I adore that color of blue. Just takes my breathe away when I see it. Very cute napkin holders as well, and
a pretty centerpiece.
thanks for sharing your creativity with us.
Blessings, Nellie
What a beautiful way to show off those chargers after all your hard work. They came out so nice and saved you a bundle of money! The burlap runners set off the dishes and centerpiece perfectly. Love it!

Wow -- this is one of the best today! Your chargers are wonderful, and I might have to poach your turquoise goblets.
ReplyDeleteGreat chargers! I bet that took some time. Your table is lovely and I love the large centerpiece.. Great runners too. I am still loving burlap! Your yard is so lovely, I'm sure the larger waterfall is well worth the mess. xo marlis
