A Tablescape with a Little Touch of Spring

This is my first time participating in Tablescaping Thursday even though I have enjoyed browsing through the posts for quit some time.  Many thanks to Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this weekly event.  I enjoy setting a pretty table but this time of year is my most uninspiring, is that a word?  The holidays are over and everything is a little blah.  I really love the black damask placemats with the pop of green.

Cream dishes with bamboo flatware!  This is my favorite flatware that I usually only use during the summer but I think the bamboogives the table a little different texture.  Iced tea glasses are by Gorham.  Notice the other pop of green by using the avocadoes on top of the candlesticks.

Thank you for stopping by......and check out the other tablescapes on Between Naps on the Porch

  1. Welcome to tablscaping and be prepared to be obsessed with it! I know I am just calming down a bit after almost 6 months. I love your black and green (my table is too!) and I am definitely borrowing your idea with the artichokes on the candlesticks, love it! Is that your house in the header? If so, it's just beautiful.

  2. Thank you for your lovely comments. It is our home. The Lord has truly blessed my family. I am going to "fly" over and check out your blog! Tammy @ A Walk in the Countryside

  3. Very pretty table...I have to agree that white, black and green are a great combination!

  4. Hi there, Tammy!!!! It's so nice to meet you! Welcome to the wonderful world of Tablescape Thursdays! I've been blogging for about a year-and-a-half, and it is so much fun...AND therapeutic! :-) It is always so nice to meet someone new. I'm with that your house in the header? It is really cool!!! I have visited the great state of Louisiana several times over the years(Baton Rouge and New Orleans), but I have never seen firsthand the style of a home outside the city. It reminds me a lot of the Savannah, GA. area with the tall, skinny trees. I love the black & green of the tablescape. Those colors just fit so well together! I think I have that same Gorham stemware. It is so pretty and, what I REALLY like about it, so substantial in the hand. I look forward to seeing a lot more of your designs in the coming weeks and months! Meanwhile, have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Oh, poo...I just saw that you wrote back to Robin that it IS indeed your home. Terrific! I really like that porch on it!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments! I try to return the favor and visit each one of you! ~Blessings, Tammy~
