This has been a very casual, low key summer. It was just too hot to set the table outside so we’re in the air conditioner!
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased the gingham platter at Hobby Lobby for 80% off!! Earlier this year, I picked up the ants from there as well.
Isn’t it so cute! There was no way I was going to pay $30 but I would pay $6!!
My place setting started with a red square plate (JCP), layered with a black plate ($ Tree) and a white salad plate (Pier 1).
Flatware is Reed & Barton Everyday Stainless.
The salt and pepper shakers were a recent box purchase from the auction.
Iced tea glasses are made by Gorham.
I used a galvanized pail with flowers as the centerpiece.
TIP OF THE WEEK! When my children were toddlers and needed their food cut up, I used a pizza cutter! It was quick and easy! I cut everything from spaghetti to pancakes!

Red, white and black makes for a cute table of ants! The platter is perfect for servings of watermelon and the ants have already arrived! The salt and pepper shakers were just the best and in a box at the auction for a great find.
