I really enjoy working with mesh ribbon. I love the slight shine to it and the unruly look of the completed project. Thankfully, Hobby Lobby now sells it. Before, I had to purchase it at smaller shops where it costs twice the regular price of Hobby Lobby, if not more. For this wreath, I used my wreath from Christmas. I removed everything but the red and white stripe mesh.
For this step, I had used a spare green Christmas wreath and loosely bunched up the mesh, securing it by twisting the green branches of the wreath around the mesh.
I left a little opening where I wanted to insert this navy blue mesh.
I just made a 4 loop bunch and inserted it into the opening.
I loosely wrapped this garland that I purchased at the Dollar Tree around the mesh. I found a roll of flag ribbon in my supplies and added it as well.
