Thrifty Score - Fiesta Ware

You know in order to catch those good deals at resale shops you have to drop in often.  You can’t go once a month and find that super deal, unless you’re lucky!  We live about 20 miles from our new Goodwill store so I only go by when I happen to go to town.  One night, the hubby and I went out to eat and afterwards I insisted on running in to check things out quickly.  This night there were nothing that I just couldn’t live without!  Well, the next day, I drove to the big city for a little shopping.  On the way home, before I reached the town close to my home, I debated should I stop or not?  My dogs were barking after shopping in heels all day and I was ready to put my feet up. But then I thought to myself, you never know what you’ll find!  So, I zoomed up in the parking lot and quickly, or as fast as those dogs would let me, walked into the store for a walk thru.  As soon as I get to the dish section, I see them. A big stack of Fiesta Ware dinner plates…in all different colors!

Oh yeah!  And at 59 cents each!  Was the pain of hobbling inside on barking dogs worth it?  Definitely!  I didn’t have any dinner plates, only some bowls and platters so these will make a nice addition!

Aren’t they so pretty?  As I was checking out, another customer asked me if there were anymore…I thought to myself “Are you crazy, lady?” like I would have left any!

Now if you want to see some Fiesta, you must visit Cindy at The Little Round Table.  She has a fantastic collection!

This is her Atomic 50’s table.  I just love the colors!

Are the colors just absolutely gorgeous?  Did I also mention that she has a collection of vintage tablecloths that blend perfectly with all her Fiesta?

It is such a treat to visit her blog!  She has databases for her Fiesta and tablecloths!  Also, she shares with us how she stores everything.  Make sure you stop by and visit her!  If you don’t, you’re missing out on a treat!  To see more of the tablescapes that I have shown, just click on the picture and it will take you to her post!

Have you found any goodies lately?  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You definitely are a lucky girl! What a fantastic deal! I used to have Fiesta Ware in all colors and ended up giving it all to my niece who was moving into her first apartment. She loves it but sometimes I could kick myself! lol!

    1. Jane, my late aunt gave me a few older bowls but she gave the bulk of her collection to her daughter. All of her pieces were vintage but as she got older she wanted a more lightweight plate. Blessings, Tammy

  4. Wow! What a steal! Our Goodwill looks everything up on line now and the prices are outrageous. Most dishes are $1.99 to start, but if it's old or has a mark on back it's about $4.99 now or more. I am glad that hasn't there yet for you!!! So lucky! They have always got a ton of Fiesta Ware on shopgoodwill.com. You should check it out. The bids start pretty low. I am addicted to that site now! Have fun with your new dishes! Score!!

  5. Wow, wow, wow what a deal! Wonder Hubby and I are fools for Fiesta (we had to add new cabinets to hold our addiction) and I think we would have stroked to find this deal! I love The Little Round Table :) Thanks for sharing.

  6. I have a few pitchers, but only one plate. Great find. That's the type of thing that makes me keep going back to the thrift stores. I'll go weeks without finding anything fun and then one day you hit the motherload. I love Cindy's blog!
