Christmas Mantel in the Living Room

A Walk in the Countryside: Christmas Mantel 2012

The mantel in the living room is all decked out for Christmas!  Unfortunately, this is also a very hard room to get good pics!

It’s pretty much unchanged since last year except for the length of garland.  Previously, it draped almost to the floor but since we have a new puppy that likes to play with things he shouldn’t, I figured I better not tempt him!

To dress up the garland, I used mesh ribbon, berries and poinsettias.  I love the way the light reflects off the mess ribbon when the string lights and candles are lite.

The reindeer stocking holders came from Hobby Lobby several years ago.  To keep it from being too busy I used the 2 reindeer plus 2 plain brass holders.

Thanks for stopping by!
