Yes, I live in the country but the older I get the more I like the coast. Keeping that in mind, I decided to do a mini makeover of my downstairs bath. After completing the Civil War artwork I did, I decided to do another one. I already had this wide frame that my husband had made from Spanish cedar molding. The wood had a white primer on it and I loved the look of it! It has a coastal feel to me.
I decided to use the same technique as before but instead of using linen fabric, I used burlap. The finishing touch was hot gluing the starfish!
I love it! more so than the utensil artwork. It looks really good hanging on the beachy blue wall!
You just can't get any easier than this!

Love that!! But where do you get the starfish?
ReplyDeleteVery nice :-) And love the blue on your wall! It's fun to create your own artwork - it's so much more unique and meaningful than buying mass-made art. I created similar artwork with some shells & sand dollars that I found. I used large paint chip samples for the backing, and hung them on my coastal-inspired gallery wall.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your starfish!
