Happy St Patrick’s Day

st patrick's day tablescape

Hello, everyone!  I’m so glad you stopped by!  I always have the hardest time setting a table for St Patrick’s Day!  Last year, I never posted one because I just was never satisfied with what I did.  The same thing happened this year, too!  I started working on one, not this one though, and it ended up being nothing like St Patrick’s Day except it had a TOUCH of green.

This morning it just came to me!

The green and white checked dishes are made by Corelle.  They were given to Hunter when a neighbor cleaned out his barn.  I used Wexford glasses with a handle.  They reminded me of a beer mug from an Irish pub!

I put a glittery shamrock on the place and topped it with a clear salad plate so that it could show though.

I think what helped me get started on this table was using the green tablecloth.  When I used white with green dishes and napkin, it just didn’t work for me.

  3. I think it works wonderfully for St. Pat's. All you need is green and a few shamrocks - so clever, the way you incorporated yours. Hope you have a great St. Patrick's Day!!

  5. Those checked dishes ARE perfect for a St. Patrick's Day table! I'm trying to develop one this year, too, using just things I already have. I have no room for more dishes!
