Hello everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! Here is Louisiana, we enjoyed some cool yet beautiful days! The weather made me want to start on my Easter décor!
I wanted a Easter wreath for my front door that had a little sparkle so on my last trip to the big city, I stopped in at Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Tree and picked up some supplies! The base of my wreath is actually a green Christmas wreath. I picked up some for $1 each at the after holiday sales. I knew they would come in handy for this! It’s an easy and quick way to attach the mesh.
In the center, using pipe cleaners, I attached this sparkly rabbit from the Dollar Tree.
I must admit I did struggle with it awhile before I decided what to do. I wanted to use a contrasting mesh with it but nothing seemed to look right. After I made the bunny’s “bowtie” out of ribbon, I took my inspiration from it.
I wrapped some tinsel garland around the entire wreath. I then cut some loops of ribbon and made some little curly thingies out of lime green wire. The garland, ribbon, and metal wire all came from the Dollar Tree.
It was actually easy and quick to make once I knew what I wanted. You wouldn’t know it by the mess I made though! Now to make a wreath for the back door…hmmm!
Thanks for stopping by!
Tammy
