Home for the Holidays - Part 1

A Walk in the Countryside: Mercury Santa

Wow! I’ve had a busy couple of weeks, like decorating, cleaning, and hosting a Christmas Open House!  Now, I’m going to relax and enjoy the holiday season!  I’ve shared a few holiday pictures with you already, like the Christmas Village in the foyer.

And the living room mantel.

Now, I’ll share a few more.

This is the stairway in the foyer.

I used garland accenting it with mesh ribbon and ornaments.

On to the living room….

A little vignette above the entertainment center.  The Santa bust is one of my favorite pieces!

The pumpkins in the lamp have been replaced with a trio of musically inclined angels.

The sofa table is the hardest thing for me to decorate!  The tree is behind it to the right so I want this area to complement that tree.  I usually fall back upon one of the easiest Christmas decors ever!….shiny ornaments in glass containers!  The lights from the tree reflect so pretty off of them.

A collection of Santa’s on the piano…

A Walk in the Countryside: JOY Christmas decor

This is a new for this year.  I purchased the J and Y from Hobby Lobby and painted them red with metallic lime green circles.  I made the mesh wreath using left overs from the front door décor, which you can see here.

I wish the pictures were better but this is the absolute worst place in my home to take a picture!!!

And, of course, we can’t leave out the tree!  I usually have red mesh ribbons hanging but I used them in other areas.  I made a trip back to the city but everyone was sold out so I had to go with the white!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the tour, be sure to check back for Part 2 by clicking here!  It will be posted on Friday!!

Thanks for stopping by!
