Hello, Mr. Scarecrow

SAM_6228

Hello, Mr. Scarecrow!  A couple of week’s ago, I put together this Fall arrangement  “borrowing” an idea from Kristen over at Kristen’s Creations.

When I saw her post, I immediately thought of the mason jars that I bought at a yard sale over the summer.  All three of them were filled with dried beans.  I knew I might have a need for those dried beans one day!  I didn’t have any popcorn on hand but popcorn is fairly inexpensive!  It was as simple as pouring it in, the didn’t mix together at all!

I used a few Fall bushes and inserted a few scarecrows.  I pulled all the colors from the arrangement and the turkey platter.

I purchased this orange tablecloth a few weeks ago at Goodwill just in time for Fall!

Each place settings starts with a green quilted placemat (BHG via Wal-Mart).  I used white Homer Laughlin chargers, orange dinner plates ($ Tree), and deep red salad plates.

Clear wine glasses are from the Dollar Tree along with vintage amber glasses.

The square votive cups are also from the Dollar Tree.  I filled them with candy corn to continue the theme.

The little white bowls are from a set of ironstone made by Buffalo China that I got awhile back in a box deal at the auction.  The pinecone adds a little more rustic color to the table.

TIP OF THE DAY:  To keep colored wash from running, add a teaspoon of Epsom salts to the rinse  water.  This really does work!

Thanks for shopping!
