Patriotism in the Countryside

I've had some plans for the side porch off the mud room but haven't had time to complete them.  When I saw an arrangement similar at Holly Mathis Interiors, I knew I wanted to do this for the 4th of July.

I love the rustic look of it!  We used 3 old lawn tools, grapevine and some more of that Dollar Tree garland that I used in the patriotic mesh wreath.  I inserted 4 American Flags that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

I used Hunter's chippy blue metal chair to set ther fern in.  I inserted more flags and pinwheels.  I had planned on painting a flag on it and still might do so if I have enough time.  It just needed more sanding that what I thought.

Well, I still have more patriotic touches to make before our annual 4th of July barbeque!  I'll be sharing them with you as I get them completed.  To see some of my inspiration, check out my Pinterest board.

  2. HI Tammy, really love your tool, 7/4 arrangement. How in the heck did you hang that up? It looks heavy with the garden tools. Can't hang thing on outside of our house as it has siding and somebody I know has a fit if I want to put anything up outside. I'll have to see what I can make in a planter or something. Good projects, all your arrangements are great, good inspiration.

  7. Hi Tammy. That's the cutest arrangement. I love your tool patriotism. And there's nothing like country life. I'm glad I found your blog over at Addicted To Decorating. Now I'm a new follower.

I'm a big fam of the metal chairs too. I wish I could find some more of them for a steel.

Have a great weekend…Tracy @ Cotton Pickin Cute
